Journey through the temple clockwise and take in the aura of happiness; perhaps it will leave an impact on your life permanently.
The Leong San See Temple is known quite popularly as the Dragon Mountain Temple. The great Reverand Chun Wu was the one who established this place of worship. It all started in the year 1913 when this devout Buddhist brought with him a statue of Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. He primarily started off with an intention to create a lodge to treat the ailed but the lodge became huts which soon became an elaborate temple thanks to the funding from devout worshippers. The entire structure is a myriad of exquisite artwork that consists of intricate carvings. Some of their adorned beams have a style similar to that of Thian Hock Keng. The temple is a haven for a happy spirit. From its entrance where a large smiling Buddha greets you to its exit there is a positive vibe throughout.
The Leon San school located nearby is actually an out branch of the temple and so is the Mee Toh School. In keeping with the charitable values of the father of this place of worship, these schools were constructed to educate the many children residing on the outskirts of the temple.
